Metal thread

7 pages and no dedicated metal thread... tisk tisk.

Anyone listen to Epica and The Black Halo? The story behind the albums makes the already amazing songs even better.

So what are you guys' favourite types of metal?

Something light like aluminium, or more steel?

I used to like iron, but they got a bit rusty after overexposure.

That sounds like a forum game. Post a picture of a metal and the next guy has to guess what it is!
Spoiler: show

And no looking at the url!

Almost everything. But I'm not that into Death Metal, except for some technical complex stuff. The most Bands are just like "Oh we are soooo super brutal". But I have lots of respect for Chuck Schuldiners Work. I can't go with Melodic Death metal. It wasn't created to be melodic...

Nu Metal ... just don't talk about it. System of a Down is the only exception I can think of, but they mix several genres anyway.

But Metalcore/Deathcore is the worst stuff. I only like a few songs, if they go into Mathcore and ... just aren't this "Pop-Refrain and breakdowns shit".

The Rest? Hell Yeah! (I count in Psychedelic Rock and Hard Rock too)

The only metal I like are the Finnish drinking songs Laturi has posted. Most metal is just too boring for me.
