Haha! Same here. I also immediately went to look for some gifs from it.

On my to-watch list.

I watched the first episode of Tiger & Bunny dubbed. It made me purchase the first BD set. Never seen it before hand, but now I want to see the rest.

I love the characters, is what I like about it more than the fanservice really. Tita is great.

Be right back. Purging memory.

I was actually here to see if anybody can give me a suggestion on whether or not Psycho Pass is worth rolling the dice on. Heard it wasn't as bad as I'd heard initially and probably fits inside the "Psychological" part of my enjoyment.

Nah. I'm pretty much as straight as an arrow as the definition gets. Well, from my own vantage point I am. I think I've made mention multiple times of my preferences in females. There was a topic on the subject a while back in the Chatterbox forum and I probably provided one of the deeper key points based on trite things less notable than aesthetics. though I do mention the concept of holding a favouratism to redheaded females (incidentally, the example I use below basically fits most of them. The list has changed since then to tip the scales in favour of Cordelia) (http://forums.luckystarshrine.com/sh...7&postcount=16 ).

I just would prefer purging my memory of a description and talk of shows which is creepy enough to have the poster actually openly note how creepy it actually is, especially one I hold in such esteem as yourself. I love anime and always hope it aspires to more than it does. In some ways, I'm a homer to the genre and put my rose coloured glasses on to prevent me from seeing what is really is...then conversations such as this are generally the world slapping me in the face and telling me "remember exactly what it is", something my invented happy place doesn't like.

Really, what I think it comes down to is that fanservice doesn't really "do it" for me. It's character and details. So the discrepancy between what I read about and reality in what the anime fanbase is ends up bothering me.

In the sense of "not doing it"...(spoilered because of 2 images and 2 videos in a post)

Spoiler: show
In a visual representation, I'd prefer to see this:

As oppose to seeing this:

Because of the nature of the game. Fire Emblem is a war game, so seeing her in armour which, at least for what we see here (her official art is a little off-putting) makes much more sense than the latter. If they want to make an AU type of game, the latter may make sense, context provided.

And I always take characterization as the trump card. Something such as this (See supports C through A [the first 3]. Fire Emblem writing staff had to cram the "love" side of things into the S support due to the nature of supports in the game):

Back to why I visited this topic: I just started Psycho-pass.

I'm actually quite happy I actually looked up the reviews on this. It's quite intriguing, if only for a single episode so far. Philosophically, it's amazingly deep and portrays an interesting side of the law, not unlike the area explored by Les Miserables, where the letter and intent of the law don't agree. Can't say I'm a fan of the opening/closing music, but I really like what I've seen so far. It expects you to play a little catch up as it isn't afraid to explain a concept once then not touch on it again so far.

If anybody's curious: the letter/intent discussion is based in a world which pretty much discusses reality in univariate statistics (which, as anybody who understands stats knows, is, alone, a horrible way to do things). One key one is the tendency to commit crime. The first episode deals with a person, who's obviously the victim here, who is legislated by the statistics model to be executed because the altered state of mind from being a victim makes the person in question at extreme risk to commit a crime. So, taking that Les Miserables example forward, the Javert would say "law dictates it's so *kill*", while the inner Valjean would argue that "it's not her fault".

Animation is pretty awesome (and probably one of the newer animations done right).
