Watched the first episode of Tari Tari via Hulu Plus.

This first episode was very well done. It did a fine job of establishing the main characters and their personalities, and the artwork and animation are both gorgeous. The directorial style seems influenced by Studio Ghibli's Whisper of the Heart, chiefly in regards to the general tone and use of music as a framing device. The writing is some of the best I've seen from a slice-of-life in years. It's very natural in flow and gives an illusion of realism most shows in the genre lack (I'm looking at you, K-On!). I also like how the characters are at least semi-realistic in their personality styles instead of following generic, cookie-cutter formulaic archetypes that other shows of its ilk seem so intent on clinging to (again, K-On!). I'm very interested in seeing where this show goes. Chalk me up as a potential fan.

Wasn't you who liked K-On, or am I confusing you with someone else?

I strongly dislike K-On! and have said so many times before. Pretty sure you're mistaken.
