I've been meaning to aswell, but I can barely find people who have seen the anime here, let alone find volumes of the manga

When I bought my copies, it was as they were being released, which was pretty lucky in hindsight. Your best bet will be on amazon/ebay and the like, unfortunately.

They're not that hard to find on Amazon. The only problem is that they only have up until Vol. 8 for the English releases. And Vol. 8's physical copy is freakishly expensive. In Amazon, at least.

Yeah, it's a shame that they're probably not going to release any more English physical copies, since I'm not interested in the digital versions. In that case, I'd just rather buy the Japanese versions so that I can collect all the physical volumes.

^ finally got a paypal so I might order them. It's just not the same as going into the comicbook store and buying them though ;-;

That's true indeed. ;_;

I wonder why they decided to settle just for digital releases? I guess it's just cheaper and more efficient.

^Likely that- also that Bandai stopped publishing manga a few years back.

Localizing a manga is definitely risky, because the industry is small and rife with piracy- nice though it is to physically have copies, most people would rather not spend their money and just read it online. This is also tied with the fact that a volume of manga is pretty expensive in the U.S. at least compared to Japan- partly due to materials used in printing, as I recall.
The popularity of LS has also definitely faded over time, so with so few people willing to buy it, digital is the way to go.

That's true. There's just not much incentive to buy the actual volumes when people can just read them online, so the only actual customers, I'm guessing, are either hardcore fans of the series or collectors.

It's such a shame. I have volumes 1-8 as physical copies, so if they release the others as digital, it won't quite feel right not to have them on my bookshelf...

I know how you feel i'm in the same boat as i'm sure others are to. Makes for kind of an ackward collection when you have the first 8 physically and then the rest digital. We would indeed be lucky if the rest ever got physical releases, but I really don't see that happening. Might just have to settle for the digital's cause hey it's better than having no Lucky Star.
