Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon

So this was apparently just sort of nonchalantly announced during the Nintendo Direct today:

What has been confirmed so far is that it is an 'alternate story' taking place in Alola, with some new pokemon 'never before seen in Alola.' They also showed the first opening moments of the game, which was identical to Sun & Moon, so it's looking to be a 3rd version type of thing, and not so much sequels ala BW2. Also, they'll be for the 3DS, not the Switch, as some people were thinkin.


The main thing I'm interested in is if they'll fix the post-game grind to 100 as well as just adding more things to do. Still holding out for the Emerald Battle Frontier to make a comeback, especially after the tease in ORAS.

I love the Necrozma-esque Nebbies. My favourite thing is that Solgaleo now looks like a zoid.

agreed, something needs to be done about that postgame levelling.
and with names like Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon I hope the games will focus more on the Ultra Beasts wreaking havoc in Alola

Mhm. I liked their concept and searching for them was pretty neat, but it could use expansion.

Damn, that was quick.

Curious if the new forms are either fusions with Necrozma or something completely weird/different like a currently unknown Pokémon that either created these forms or can masquerade as them. Just have to wait and see.

On another note, Sun and Moon were amazing games so I'm eager to see them expand even more on what they've established already, like the characters and the Ultra Beasts as you guys mentioned.

I'm a fan of the theory that Colress is involved somehow in the plot, he must be in Alola for some reason and DNA splicing's kinda his thing.

^I had forgotten about his cameo- what you say seems likely, I think.

More cosmetic options for the player will definitely be nice.
