Welp, ordered V3, picked up Senran Kagura: Estival Versus from Gamestop, will be buying Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus from a friend, and I figured out how to get Transformers: War for Cybertron to work (turns out just installing it to your hard drive fixes the problem, who knew).

I'm pretty much set with games for a while. Just need to get that PSTV next month and I'm good to go.

Completed Decepticon campaign in War for Cybertron, partway through the Autobot campaign.

Putting the Decepticon campaign before the Autobot campaign was a smart move. Bring able to see (and even do) first-hand how Megatron and his gang fucked Cybertron up before taking control of the Autobots to try and set things right is a good way of contextualizing the heroes' struggles.

EDIT: I realized today that since I own the Playstation Senran Kagura games now, I should probably finish up Senran Kagura 2. Unfortunately, I haven't played SK2 in two years, and I have forgotten practically all of the plot to it, so I'm going to have to replay all of it. orz

Order placed for the Playstation TV, just gotta wait for it to arrive.

Interestingly, there was actually a working Vita at a pawn shop I went to today, but when I played a game to test if it worked, the right stick refused to function. Plus the screen was pretty banged up with a number of very noticeable scuffs and scratches on it. So I didn't pick that one up since it would be a waste of money and a much worse option than just getting the damn PSTV for the same price (about $100).

But yeah, once the PSTV arrives, I'll be diving right into Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus.

Been playing through Super Mario Odyssey as of late.

It's been an amazing experience, due in part because it breaks off from the formula that some previous Mario games had rigorously adhered to and opens up many interesting ideas for puzzles and platforming with the "capture" mechanic. It does feel a bit too easy to find power moons at times but other than that I have no major complaints.

Also, I'm really digging the customization. One of the most hilarious outfits in the game has to be

His Super Mario 64 outfit. I'm not joking, he looks exactly like he did in that game.

I'm splitting my gaming time between Assassin's Creed Origins and Super Mario Odyssey.
I got Fire Emblem Warriors at the same time but I haven't started it yet

Playing (well, played) Doki Doki Literature Club.

3rd or 4th best visual novel I think I've ever played. Sure, it gives away itself away as a horror game because of disclaimer alone, but I absolutely love the meta elements of the game, the fact that it doesn't rely on jumpscares (unless you're a streamer or go down one set of dialogues), and the absolute love put into the game by its creator.

Spoiler: show
The villain is seriously one of the most interesting yandere characters I've seen in a while. She's in no way feeling "entitled" to you like the typical yandere but instead feels hopelessly lost because of her position. The second it's just you and her, she still keeps the personality traits you probably tied to her at the beginning of the game.

And the writers gave her so many lines near the end. They managed to capture a very "human" and down-to-earth personality who really delivers interesting points. Her random comments on god, vegetarianism, and depression are amazingly well done.

It's free on Steam if anybody wants to play it. I can't say it's for everybody but I love the game for delivering a really offbeat experience...even if the entire game felt railroaded.
