:P Yeah, that was an unfortunate incident. But even if it was just a moment of him only being human, there's still something to be said about a candidate for president of the U.S. to not be able to instantly recognize the name of one of the main sites of one of the worst cases of human rights violations in recent history. Certainly if he were president, this is why he would have cabinet members and other aides, but if the other guy doesn't need assistance remembering something that you do, they'll look better (especially something as important as Syria).

Oh well- maybe Cthulhu & Dagon will get my vote after all. As always: 'Why choose the lesser evil?'

The last time I took this quiz way back in early primary season I ended up with Sanders (surprise surprise I'm in my early 20s and at a liberal arts college). I expect if I were to take it again I'd end up with Clinton, but we'll see-

And my results:
83% Jill Stein
75% Gary Johnson
72% Hillary Clinton
33% Donald Trump (interestingly enough, mostly on immigration issues)

And on the alignment chart I was just a bit left and little less down of dead center.

Hillary Clinton - 91% (science, healthcare, education, domestic policy, immigration, social, environmental, criminal, economic, and foreign policy issues)
Rocky De La Fuente - 80% (healthcare, education, domestic policy, immigration, criminal, social, foreign policy, and electoral issues)
Jill Stein - 72% (healthcare, domestic policy, immigration, social, criminal, foreign policy, and electoral issues)
Gary Johnson - 51% (science, immigration, social, and foreign policy issues)
Donald Trump - 22% (electoral issues)

On the scale, I ended just left of where the "C" is on Centrist. Which would basically mean I'm rest of the world conservative...ish...I've said it before: my political ideology basically cancels itself out when it we use these 2-D figures.

--"Important to me"--
Moderate multicultural
Moderate globalization

--"Somewhat important to me"--
Moderate regulation
Moderate collectivism
Moderate Big Government
Slightly populist
Moderate tender
Moderate progressive
Moderate Centralization
Moderate Isolationism
Strongly pacifism
Centrist on Capitalism/Socialism
Moderate privacy
Extreme Multilateral
Slightly anthropocentrism

--Less Important to me--
Centrist on Laissez-faire/Keynesian

On specific issues:
- Pro-choice
- For assisted suicide provided there is effective government oversight
- For same sex marriage
- Absolutely for the reorganization and further restriction on firearms
- Support further humanitarian aid provision to Syria
- Absolutely support the immediate decriminalization of marijuana. Would also be happy to see a future legalization provided it is handled in the same way as alcohol (and to some degree, tobacco): regulated, taxed the hell out of, and effective tests for driving under impairment. But I'd also prefer to see a government side program which researches the active ingredients in it such that medical use may utilize a more purified form of it for clinical use.
- Support death penalty if extreme conditions are met (criminal expresses no regret for their actions, is certified to be incapable of rehabilitation, has no other nation which will accept the individual, has committed a heinous crime)

Funny part is, I'm all the bold.

Entertaining notion: Giant Meteor actually polled at 13% for a moment (to Clinton's 43, Trump's 38, and undecided 7). Join the winning party.

I just don't know if the U.S. is ready for Giant Meteor. I feel that its win would cause too large of an impact on society, and it's difficult for many to get behind its policy on maintaining infrastructure.

Having gone down US highways many times, I don't think it could get much worse.

(Looks at Montreal)

...Actually...maybe it can.

Anyways, if anybody's curious, fivethirtyeight does an excellent breakdown of polling and their implications. One of its major writers, Nate Silver, went 50-for-50 last election guessing electoral college votes (though even he admits Florida was just a coin toss):

http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/...=2016-forecast

They do more analysis these days than I really like (I much prefer a data heavy website), but they have some truly interesting graphics and information.

Their latest article suggests a bump to Clinton after that first debate. She is widely seen as the major winner of the debate but the undecided voters (the people who matter at this point) were moved less by the results. Which makes sense since one of the major groups right now that they must court are moderate Republicans, a group likely edging more towards Trump and willing to give him a second chance before locking in their choice.

I was classed as a "centrist" and in that map was dead-center. Never would have guessed.

This is the wildest, most entertaining, and horrifying election I have ever witnessed in my life. The one upside to this is that Trump is a classic source of jokes. Thank you, thank you for making me finally get interested in a political election by degrading it into elementary school level concepts. You can clearly pay for all the medical bills i might have to take after staving off the stress from this 8 years from now.

Oh its gonna be great. Trump is an endless SNL gag. And, tho I feel trump will be elected, if by chance Hillary wins, we can not only take shots at her, but all the old jokes at Bill. Somethin like (insert his voice here)

"Hey America. Well they said you can only be president twice. That's 8 years in the white house. I'm back bitches! Bill is partying in the house again...someone call up Monica" :P

I imagine first thing she might do would be toss Lewinski in jail. Just a guess.

"Pay"
"Medical bills"

God damn you're scary, USA.

(Really though, it'll be 4 years. I currently can't see either of them winning a second term)

100% honest - I read that in Bill's voice.

(On the upside though, the First Man would be an excellent orator to throw on TV. Love him or hate him, I think there's little denying the fact that he's got something neither candidate has: actual charisma. He's bright and he's capable of speaking to anyone.)

I mean, I'm like 95% sure you're joking but I can't always tell with you...

I saw Storks and I swear to God some storyboarder wanted Pigeon Toady to be a Trump caricature. I used Trumps lines in Toady's voice while we were walking out the theater.

dont worry when Trump gets in they'll get rid of this retarded Obamacare crap. Kirant you know the idiot we picked to spearhead this new system was the person who screwed up your country and was fired. I know enough Canadians to know your medical system has some problems. Ours was worse :P I so hope they erase that system and start over. It cost a fortune and hurt more than it helped.

Was I joking? I'll leave that for you to decide :)
