Purchased any Anime or Manga lately?

2011 seems like a good year for licensed Anime and manga.

This is what I'll be getting as soon as funds are available. I can't wait for Evangelion 2.22 next week! That movie was mind-blowing epic!! Summer Wars was also really good :3
  • March/April
    • Summer Wars [Blu-ray]
    • Evangelion: 2.22 You Can [Not] Advance [Blu-ray]
    • Mega Man Megamix Volume 3
    • The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Vol. 8
    • K-ON!, Vol. 2
    • Strike Witches: Complete First Season - Vc
    • K-On! Vol. 1 [Blu-ray]
  • May/June/July
    • Soul Eater: Part 1 & 2 Box Set [Blu-ray]
    • A Certain Scientific Railgun Vol.1
    • Kannagi Volume 1
    • Negima!? Neo Vol.7

When I get paid this Tuesday, I'll order Evangelion 2.22, Haruhi Vol.8, and K-On Vol.2. Amazon is kinda having an Anime sale right now too. Evangelion 2.22 Blu-Ray is $20, and the two mangas are both $6.40 each :3

At this point, I'll probably only get K-ON! Vol 2. Manga at this point. xD
I wanna get K-ON! Vol. 1 Blu-ray but I'd have to get it in a store because I lack a credit card/paypal. XD
But I wanna wait till I can get the whole first season at once. Like what I have for Inuyasha.

The last manga I purchased was K-On! Vol 1 while I was in florida. .-. That was 4 months back. lmao. I don't purchase much manga or anime.. mostly more like... Cat hats, figurines, cute anime wallets, anime keychains etc.

I wish i could buy any manga, but there is not a single store i know that sells them.
Only one online store that sells manga, but the lack of Ideal stops me, and most vol. 1's are out of stock and will never return ;_; (except Lucky Star yay!) I know one store that sells anime, but only with dutch subs (which i, strangely, don't like) and its alot expensiver. I mean, 20 euros for 3 episodes!? No thanks.

That's too bad. Do you sneak it in, read it online or just not reading it at all?
And why won't your parents let you anyway?

The last thing anime-related that I got was season one of Full Metal Panic! for a cool $40 even. Before that, I got the first three Haruhi Suzumiya novels as a birthday present from my teacher (best teacher ever, he is). My anime and manga collections are pretty piffy, but I plan on getting a part-time job soon to help pay for our new house (I'm moving again; DAMN IT!!) and to fund my interests. But I need a bank account before that'll happen.

...ah well, I need to learn how to balance a checkbook anyway. :P

It was the FUNimation box set, and FUNi always puts their box sets at anywhere between $40 for licenses of previously-existing dubs and $60 for sets with brand-new in-house dubs.

Since FMP! was originally dubbed by ADV Films, it got put in the $40 range. And the DVD set itself is awesome!!! The picture quality is amazing (absolutely no artifacts; thank goodness for digital remastering) and the 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound track for the English dub is divine.

Just another reason why FUNimation roxxorz mah boxxorz.
