ImagineNation goes Touhou

NHK's English-language-division show, "Imagine Nation", recently did a segment on the Touhou Project. While parts of it are horrifyingly wrong (get ready to cringe), it's at-least a peek into Gensoukyo and the phenomenon that surrounds Touhou. Some good interview footage with ZUN in his studio (and not a beer to be seen ... is this really ZUN???).

Cringe indeed, though it is nice to see actual coverage of touhou. At least it's better than when CNN talked about Bad Apple.

Totally agree about that lack of beer being strange though. Maybe his self-proclaimed love of beer is a mere ruse.
Seriously though, I'm kind of impressed at how tidy his workspace is. Looks really nice.

At first I thought 'Yup, same ZUN hat', but then I realised it wasn't the same, it's slightly different.

How many of these hats does he have?

Except for the cringes (A monster called Gensokyo... WTF??!!) it was a nice video coverage. At least I'm happy that Touhou is getting some more media attention, I believe that's a good thing, maybe someday we can see an official game translation and release here in the West (if it wasn't already :P).

EDIT: I lol'd when the narrator said "attractive characters" and panned to put Sakuya in focus hahaha! Yes, sir!

Yup. As far as I've heard he uses C++ for everything, but with a lot of optimizations for performance when things get hectic on screen.
