Good for him, he seems like a reasonably good president so far and from the changes he's made and done he probably deserves it.

Also droote the main reason was his policy he put foward at the UN about nuclear disarmement. A suggestion that has never been made by another president (to my knowledge).

Is being better than Bush a reason for getting a Nobel peace prize? In that case, a lot of people are worthy of that prize.
It would be a poorer reason than the original one :P

Did you not read the statement? The amount of praise they were giving him simply for being there had heavy implications on the outgoing government.

When Obama fixes the fucking economy that Bush screwed up and stops all of those great anime/manga companies here in America (Geneon, ADV Films) from closing down because of said economy Bush screwed up, I'll begin to hope.

It was not Bush' fault that the American economy collapsed.


It mainly stemmed from sending troops into Iraq and keeping them there for years on end. Bush did that one. (They STILL haven't been pulled out. And I know it started with the 9/11 attacks, but the "go to war" thing was a wild overreaction, IMHO.) All of our resources are going into more weapons and supplies for troops while us littler people are suffering for it.

Or at least I think that's it.

No it had with people loaning money they couldn't afford to pay back, and banks lending reckless and unsustainable loans to whoever wanted it.

Also, all of those illegal immigrants. (My World History teacher told us that today) Apparently, the US Government is going to begin scouting for immigrants without a "green card", which shows they are US citizens, and sending them back to Mexico or wherever else they came from.

Don't believe everything your teachers say. My teacher had once stated that the economy would be strong from 2006-2010. What difference does your illegal immigrants make to your economic state? Sure they take jobs away from Americans, but the main concern is that people were being pointlessly reckless with their own funds. They guys without a major souce of income didn't roll the dice as often (Though a concerningly high percent did) The major sources of blame are the banks, the entire American economic structure and the American people who put money into the system that way.

Had illegal immigrants not come over the border, my suspicious was that this would have hit the Americans worse, as more people would have had more money invested in the banks, geerating a larger collapse when it hit.

The economic crash has to do with a few things... Unnecesary war in Iraq, Big Buisnesses spending more money with foreign supplies, and a huge amount of high interest loans to name a few.

Either way, no matter how you slice it, it's gonna take a while to repair the damage done.

But I wish it'd go faster. It's interfering with the anime community.
