It started as a Light Novel series.
Basically it's about a dystopian future, in which people live in giant mobile cities called 'Regios', which are self-sufficient bio domes (kind of hard to describe). This is because the world has amounted too much pollution, to the point that creatures are bred from it called 'Filth Monsters'. The main emphasis is about how people have 'Kei', which is energy produced from an organ in their bodies that allows them to utilize futuristic weapons called 'Dite', and expell energy to attack foes, regenerate, buff their own bodies, or use psionic power. Depending on the type of Kei your organ produces.
In a nutshell, the people of the mobile cities try to survive on a pollution infested Earth, while fighting off Filth Monsters wherever they are encountered.
