Ok i really recommend this anime, it's set in new york, and it's about alchemy and mafia, around 1930's , it has around 10 different stories that are connected and develop as the episodes go, concluding and explaining each of them and how they are connected, in each of the stories, at least a character appears in 2 of them. I really enjoyed watching it, it's quite fun, interesting, and well the only thing i didn't like is that it has fair amounts of gore.

It looks really light-hearted and fun, not like one of those animes that are just gonna drag on and on, and characters are gonna have monolouges about "BOO HOO I HAVE PROBLEMS PAY ATENTION TO ME" or some boring shit like that.
Also, i read the plot, and it seems like a story with lots of twists and really interesting in general.

What a pity Japan didn't like it enough for a second series. At least we got the OVAs.
