I'm gonna get it off gamefly
... how do you rent a PC game?
Do you really have to start over from the very beginning if you die, no checkpoints? I hope they don't make the game too easy to compensate...
No that's only on the Insane difficulty. The hard difficulty is already hard enough (I've probably had over 100 deaths so far, 50 were from a single cheap boss fight), insane is supposedly even more difficult.

What's your GPU?
You probably won't max it even with a modern card (I'm not even sure if any modern card by itself can get 60fps maxed at 1920x1080 or higher).

Playing don't take it personally, babe, it just ain't your story (yes, it is actually spelled in all lowercase letters), a visual novel that was made by some American/Canadian fans of the genre (there are some references to areas in Toronto, Canada, so I'm not at all sure where the people who made this game live). A really, really good game so far, with some excellently well-integrated Facebook and 4chan-styled game elements, but due to some strong profanity and some CGs in the game files I found containing an underage girl (about 16 years old or so) taking her clothes off (she doesn't get any further than showing her breasts, though; I'm guessing it's a part of a story thread where she's going through a "naughty phase", as many of us tend to do around that age), I don't recommend it for anybody under 17 years of age. Or at the very least, I don't suggest playing it with relatives in the room.

Max Payne for Game Boy Advance!
To my surprise, this game is a lot of fun, even though it's basically a portable size-down of a big-console game. But even despite the switch from third-person shooter to isometric-view action game, it still plays amazingly well, and feels like it's the same game! And as you can gather from the box art, this game carries its M-rating with pride; this thing's got about as much blood and gore as a low-caliber Quentin Tarantino film.

Bit faster, but at the same time more smooth. Skills are somewhat simplified, but Deus Ex never really had a great skill system in the first place. Jensen isn't quite as likable as JC was, but he's still pretty relatable. Conspiracies are still there, and they start noticeably popping up around the 7 hour mark.
All in all, it's not quite as good as the original, but it's a worthy successor.

Well, it's not playing, per se, but these are some first-person shooter titles I'm getting for Wii when I get the chance.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Reflex Edition
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (I shit you not. (http://www.1up.com/news/modern-warfare-3-officially-headed-wii))
The Conduit
The Conduit 2
Call of Duty: World at War
Call of Duty 3
Red Steel 2
I realize that I put a hell of a lot of Call of Duty up there. And honestly, while I don't flat-out love the series design and whatnot, I most certainly don't hate it. They're still well-designed and fun first-person shooters with their own quirks to stand out from the rest of the crowd. I just prefer other games such as those in the Battlefield franchise and some classic shooters like DOOM and Duke Nukem 3D to the CoD games. And, hey, they're some of the only FPS games on Wii. I don't have much else to choose from, so I sure as hell ain't gonna bitch about my choices.

I'm playing the Game & Watch Gallery series for Game Boy. These basically compile different classic Game & Watch games onto Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance, with the option of playing them either in their original form or in a new, upgraded version with updated graphics. Sometimes, the gameplay is updated as well!
I'm also playing Pop'n Music Animation Melody for Game Boy Color. This is a lot like Guitar Hero, except it goes by the actual tune of the song and it came first. It uses a lot of anime themes from things like Mazinger Z, Tiger Mask, Sailor Moon and Saint Seiya.
I'm also having a lot of fun playing the Game Boy series of Mega Man Classic games. Basically, I'm playing a bunch of Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games. And I'm enjoying every second of it.
Oh, yeah, and I beat Mega Man 64, the Nintendo 64 port of Mega Man Legends, last night. After FOUR FUCKING YEARS, I finally beat Mega Man Juno!! Now onto Legends 2!!

Yes, I actually like having Zelda being a commoner. It's very unlike most of the games where you perhaps are introduced to Zelda once then never see her until you have beaten the very last boss. Take Twilight Princess for instance. You meet her right after becoming a wolf, then never again until the very end.
Other than that, Skyward Sword is really amazing. I played it for eight hours the first day, I couldn't stop. I love flying around in the skies and to do all the side quests up there!
By the way, have you had some issues with lagging? At least during some cutscenes it is as if it mildly lags.
Great game, truly wonderful! It is by all means worth the £85 I paid for it and the golden WiiMote+ plus the soundtrack!

Golden Sun: The lost age. Direct sequel! You do not know how freaking long it took to plug in that 260 length password to import my data from the original. Looking back at it now, no wonder I was so freaking confused when I got this game on the GBA so long ago! The story starts nearly right off the bat from the original, so it'd probably confuse anyone who hadn't played (and beaten) the original. I cleared Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins on Friday for the first time. What a shitty game. Controls suck, the levels are far too easy except the very last level and the enemies are uninspired. How did they manage to fuck up so much in comparison of the first Super Mario Land, such an incredible game?

That's what I like with the newer Mario games; New Super Mario Bros Wii, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 and Super Mario Land 3D have some very difficult levels in the end which few kids are able to beat. To 100% a Mario game nowadays is actually an achievement.

Completed Adventure Mode of Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut a day or two ago, clocking in at around ten and a half hours. It's an awesome game, that's for sure, but it needs some more replay value, like giving the courses better variety and making it so that Sonic doesn't slow down as much by keeping the puzzles and platform-helling to a minimum. Looking forward to seeing if I can get Sonic Adventure 2 Battle next.

Hard as fuck, I'd imagine. :P
Playing Star Fox: Assault, trying to get all the Silver Medals to unlock Xevious. The only level that's actually giving me a hard time is the Orbital Gate, because it runs on this annoying time limit that keeps me from killing the amount of enemies that I want. Considering that, I'm saving it for after I beat levels nine and ten, which are the only two I have yet to get Silver Medals on.

The problem with Assualt is everything but the music and Arwing combat. They had the right ideas of being able to go from Ground to Air on some maps, but it was poorly executed and some of the VA's are quite horrible.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King, also known as That One Crystal Chronicles Game That Doesn't Completely Suck Crotch.
Seriously, I JUST remembered that my sister had downloaded this game for the WiiWare service a year or two ago, and I never got to play it up until now. Good gravy, this game is fun. Takes a little time to really pick up (it gets fun once your adventurers reach level 5-6 and you have some shops opened up), and the DLC can be a tad pricey, but this is a game that is more than worth its 1500 Wii Point ($15) price tag. What's best is that it gives you a real sense of accomplishment, expanding your realm (I named mine Yonshire), talking to townsfolk to enhance morale, posting behests, sending adventurers on quests, funding research, etc., etc.. There's about a million-and-one things to do in this game, something I can't really say for some of the other simulation-style games I've seen (I'm looking at you, Spore). I think I'll be playing this game for quite some time to come, and it'll be an excellent tide-over until I can get my hands on Xenoblade Chronicles.
P.S. My king's name is Lemuel, after Lemuel Gulliver from Gulliver's Travels.

Just tried it with Cirno, Mystia and Flandre's themes. Cirno and Mystia gave me a pretty straight drop, speeding all the way, while Flan's was more varied, going up and down.
Got my first Pro natural gold run (gold without any of those bonuses that are added after the run finishes) and my first Pro character bonus (not hitting any grey blocks with Mono (hey, I've only been playing since Friday!)) on Flandre's theme.
