It was talked about for a while but Lawliet never showed back up. It would be cool for a little chatbox to be at the bottom of the page so we can chat and have awesome conversations amongst ourselves.

So I don't have to make another thread, I tried posting a pretty big post, but only 1/5 of it showed up. How big can posts be?

1. YouTube is gonna go to hell soon. Might as well prepare for the worse.
2. Vimeo has amazing quality. Only bad thing about it is that you can only upload 500 MB a week. But I just want to have a universal embedding system. And thanks for the avatar bump!

I was browsing for about 58 hours and when I wasn't browsing, I was on the main forum page.

Tested it again. Left it on my profile page, took a shower, came back and refreshed. Gave me 5 seconds. lol

It is possible, but your .gif must follow the requirements of less than 150x150 or 100kb. So your .gif should not be large in dimensions or size. Since Lucky_Flame has a .gif as an avatar, no?

Remove a bunch of frames. I can't think of any other way to get the filesize down.

So if you want to rescale it, but also get it to not look distorted, then try 106x150. But doesn't it automatically resize when you upload it as an avatar to LSSF?

well I tried to upload it from my hard drive, but it would only show the first image, and would not be moving, so I uploaded it on photobucket and put in the link, but it wouldn't rescale by itself.

Isn't it 44kb above the 100kb limit, though?
Which could explain why it isn't resizing.

Ummm... Depending on the gif, each frame is ~1 kb, depending on if you optimize your gif...

Which is basically removing parts from the gif that contain the same background so that it saves the file size. Removing frames that don't make much of a difference doesn't change much, depending on which you decide to take out.

So you should try optimizing your gif if you haven't already, or remove frames is the only way I see it. Rescaling your entire gif also reduces filesize.

The stars are just a rating system giving a hint how long a certain person has been here for, at least. It's based on your post count (after reaching certain milestones). I'm not sure, but I think your rep also affects your rating.

I don't think actual time has any effect on your rating, because any player could leave their computer on the site without ever posting, getting rating for doing nothing. And, yes, there may be factor listed I have no idea about, but I'm only listing to what's my knowledge.

Basically, the way the reputation system works is you pretty much can write a positive or negative or even a "neutral" comment for someone. This can be changed at any time for the certain person if you get a different impression of them in the future, for example~ It's not really used for anything other than writing your impressions for the person, or thanking them for something~

They work in different methods. Reputation doesn't _usually_ measure the quality of a single post, just the overall quality of a person. Thanks reflects quality posts.

Either way, if I had the choice between one of the two, I'd take Thanks any day.

My post count suddenly dropped as well, but like you already said, it was the "Post Yourself" thread, because BluNBig deleted his account so all of his posts and threads he started disappeared along with it ~nyaa-nyaa.

And I agree with Tsukasa's_Lover; something should be done about the bots ~nyaa-nyaa. Maybe it should be like Lucky_Flame said--there should be one of those things where you have to enter a code to join ~nyaa-nyaa.

Yes, reporting anything you can that seems like a bot would be quite helpful. The admin/mods don't have time to go through every thread to hunt down the bots, so just trying to report whatever you can would help. As of now, the bots are still getting in, so...

You're acting as though we're supposed to be scouting the forums 24/7. The staff doesn't see what goes on 24/7 in he forums, give them a break.

Well, we try our absolute best, but like Razor and Lucky_Flame suggested, report the posts. We tend to those posts a lot faster than having to search the forum day after day... and some people spot them faster than us, so it helps to get contribution.

But yes, a lot of our staff is either busy with university, work, school, etc... As much as we try to keep the boards bot-free, we have our own lives to tend to. So we'll keep trying our best, but I'm hoping that we can get members to help by simply reporting posts and just typing in "Bot" for the reason. A lot of the members have been doing that and it helps, so thank you, everyone. ^^

In what terms?
Potentially, we could have an unlimited number of moderators (well, limited by the number of members on the site), but if you're talking about a cap introduced by the administrators themselves, I believe it is three for the time being. We had some problems over summer, so we had a couple more then, but things have quietened down now, so I believe it is three at the moment (Laturi or Rhea could probably answer this question better than I, as it's up to them as admins). Obviously, this number can change if we have a need for more or less.

I know. The only way to fix this is to allow image BB code. Otherwise, you have to upload the pictures to the site by url or computer.

Now that I think of it, this sounds like my old gaming clans site. We didn't move, our leader (who is one of my best XBL friends)decided to be an idiot and completely destroyed it (not intentionally). I now think he should have just made a post saying that the site would change without the poll if he really wanted the change.
