Ever since Doom, shooter games make up a vast amount of the gaming market.

Which ones have you played and which are your favorites?

does L4D count? it kinda is a shooter... with zombies and stuff..

im sure it counts.

Yeah it counts.

Besides Half-Life, I like CoD4, L4D, the FarCry series, Quake 1, the Doom series, Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, Red Orchestra, and Killing Floor when it comes out.

Fps: Halo series, Cod series, Rainbow6 series, Far cry2, Crysis warhead, l4d, Fallout 3 (more of a 3rd/1st person shooter than an rpg), and battlefield series. (all listed fps played and liked)
3ps: Gears of war1+2, Resident evil series, Fallout 3 (more of a 3rd/1st person shooter than an rpg), and Star wars battlefront series (cant wait for 3rd).
(all listed 3rd person shooters played, only didn't like Gears of war 2)

Aw man, I thought you meant 2d shooters. Anyways, my favorite is probably Unreal Tournament. But some others I like are F.E.A.R, Doom 3, Counter Strike, Half - Life, Return to Castle Wolfenstein (I'm REALLY excited about the new Wolfenstein!), and various others games.

I don't really play "shooter games", but my favorites are Left 4 Dead, Red Faction, Quake II, Kingpin: Life of Crime, CS 1.6 and Half-Life.

Some other favorites of mine I forgot to add (guess they weren't that important XP)

Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, Gears of War 2.

I don't play many shooters, but the only ones I play are: Halo 3, and COD series.

Now 3rd Person Shooter: Lost Planet, for the win.

I' m glad that somebody mentioned wolfenstein, 'couse thats where it all began you know.
My father is 40 years old and he loves the game along with allied assault
I remember when I was younger and got my first pc we used to play games all night
and especially RTCW... ahhh good ol' memories
