There's a game my friend is currently helping with it's called Freespace 2. This is an old trailer for an older version of the game, he's helping with the newer version that will be released. He says he's helping with the laser beam effects. There's no release date yet.

Actually there are quite a few people working on it from around the globe, I believe the guy who began working on it lives in Poland. My friend saw something on their site saying they needed assistance so he decided to work with them, also I'm pretty sure the game will be free and feature online multiplayer as well. I can't wait for it!
