So, what are your thoughts about it? I thought Sonic Adventure 2: Battle was the best 3D Sonic game then came Sonic Heroes which I thought was disappointing... and everything after that was just plain bad. I'm still a Sonic fan though, Sonic Unleashed was on the right track but it could have been better.

I liked Sonic Adventure 2, I dislike Sonic Heroes, especially getting the chaos emeralds to get the final story, I was never able to get them. As for Sonic The Hedgehog for the 360, I hated it.

I loved SA2, I played the crap out of it even after I beat it. I was looking forward to Sonic Heroes, I thought it was gonna be better than SA2 but when I got it I was really disappointed. Getting the chaos emeralds in Sonic Heroes was a pain as well. Sonic for the 360 was terrible, it felt unfinished.

my favorite sonic game is Sonic CD, it's the darkest 2D sonic game that has pwnsome music (i live in europe so I have the japanese soundtrack, the american soundtrack sux) it is very different from the other sonic games, it would be cool though if the future sonic games could have an awsome style like sonic CD had....... but sense the Mega CD was such a failure addons that sega decided they should keep sonic games with the old style :(

I liked the Sonic Adventure series, and Sonic Adventure 2 is my favorite of the 3D Sonic games. Sonic 2 is my favorite 2D Sonic, but Sonic CD had the best soundtrack.

I think Sonic Adventure 1 was the best of the 3D and sonic 2 was the best of the 2D.

Exactly my thoughts!
Advendture Battle - amazingly good, very good story!
Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut - This one was not too bad either.
Hereos - so disappointing, the controls aer messed up.
Unleasehd - started good, but then it's too much boring, repetive fighting. It's like 30 % Sonic we love and 70 % crap fighting.
Anyone played the new Sonic game? Sonic and the Black Knight.

I have always been a Sonic fan ever since I played the first one on the Genesis. Those games were great and I enjoyed them more then any of the games on the SNES. I thought Sonic Adventure and Adventure 2 were amazing when I had them on the Dreamcast. I recently picked up Sonic Unleashed for my PS3, despite all the reviews I read. The game did NOT deserve all of the bad ratings. Critics obviously did not play the game, because all of the user ratings are drastically higher then the critic scores, which really does show critics don't know what they're talking about. The daytime levels were amazing, especially Rooftop Run. The music was great, and the visuals were pretty to look at. The nighttime levels weren't that bad. There were a few times where I was like "aw man, not another nighttime level", but other than that, it's a really nice game.

I wish that there were still only 4 sonic characters (Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Robotnik) but now we have 4563453405209435 characters...

The same could be said for Mario too.

The sonic series could REALLY do without Shadow

Nah... I think Shadow was the one who brought the story of Sonic 2 Adventure Battle to a higher level.

The list should be -
Sonic
Tails
Knuckles
Robotnik
Shadow
Amy (I really don't mind her)

I just never really liked Shadow. He started off as a moderately well character, but then turned into a generic "I hate everything I don't know about my past brb shooting"

He and Knuckles is my favourite characters from the series.
It is a shame that he isn't on Brawl (other than an assist trophy)
And TannerB: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_the_hedgehog#Reception

Just because a character is popular doesn't change my opinion on him

I know, and it shouldn´t. I'm just saying he is popular and many people think he has become an important character in the Sonic family.

Well, it's rather obvious now that none of you have played Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.
Hell, even BIG THE MUTHAF*CKING CAT was likeable in that game! And Shadow acting more "total badass" than "total emo wristcutter" in that game than he did in previous games.

I like the explanation they gave for why one of the newer characters was white (can't remember which one, I don't keep up with Sonic anymore (DOHOHOHOHOHOHO)), which was that they had 'run out of colours'.
Says a lot, really.
You know what's funny in the old Sonic? When you're fighting Eggman and make Tails get hit, you can make Tails hit Eggman many times, killing him quick.
Droote

^You can do that in Sonic Hereos too, but it is hard to do it on purpose though.

You're one of the few people that say SA1 was better than SA2 but you're entitled to your own opinion so I respect that.

I kinda liked the fighting at first but after a while i thought it got kinda tedious and the fact that you had to collect medals to move on just shows that they were trying to make the game seem longer. I haven't played Sonic and the Black Knight but I'm not that interested in it, some people say that Secret Rings is better because you don't use a sword.

Sonic Unleashed was okay in my opinion, I don't love it but I don't hate it either. I personally think critics are being too harsh on it but I also think it's not as great as some fans claim.

I thought Shadow would be more badass when he starred in his own game, but he ended up being emo, I didn't mind though.

Actually the new character's color is silver..... and his name is Silver the Hedgehog....... BUT THAT'S NOT ALL, he also has TELEKINETIC POWERS, and HE'S FROM THE FUTURE!
Yeah it probably took Sega ages to think of a character that original...

Sonic Unleashed was pretty boring, I hated the nighttime levels. D8 If you have it on the Wii, you have to like, shake the Wii remote and all that crap. You know how annoying it could be if you had to do that every 5 seconds.
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was awesome! One of my favourites! I kept playing it and playing without even getting bored once! The story was good, and the missions/places were also very awesome. c:
Sonic Adventure DX: Directors Cut was O.K., the thing that bothered me were all the glitches (or maybe that was just me?). At least the story was something I wouldn't think about... Well, actually, some scenes were predictable.
Heroes: No comment.[hr]
Damn it, now I wanna play Sonic !! XDD

The Wii version is almost a completely different game compared to the PS3 and 360 versions.

Pweh, SA2B was one of the best games I remember playing on the NGC. The best Sonic game, hands down, in my opinion. After that, the Sonic series has changed into something less likable. I think "Sonic's shoes are getting a little worn out". A new pair must be bought, as the games were good at SA2B's time.

lol, He had the shoes for years. I never played any of the new 3D Sonic. I only have Sonic Mega Collection which has the old games.

But didn;t he get different shoes in SA2B? XD jk jk
I was playing Sonic The Hedgehog 2 by using Tails by himself since I haven't beaten the game with him. I was rushing through the game just to see if he's the one that will fly the plane but it was Sonic in the plane. It's better the other way around. I love the last stage music. Did you know there's a life box that can kill you in the last stage?

I have a Wii, but I used my GC controls, so I didn't experience that.

funny fact: did you now that sonic's first voice actor (in sonic CD) was a girl named Keiko Utoku? she also sang the opening song and ending of the JAP/EU version of the game. lol
