The sad reality (http://cbs2.com/entertainment/michael.jackson.hospitalized.2.1059770.html)
I was really starting to love his music and just like that, he's gone, this sucks.
Remembering him, here's my favorite music video from him:

I think some people are hypocrites:
Yesterday: Lol, MJ is such a creep and pedophile, his music sucks, lolz
Today: Oh this sucks, he was such a good artist.
I never hated MJ, but these last few weeks before his death I've gotten to like his music, sort of ironic he has to die just as I was really starting to be a fan of him.

I have been a fan of him just as long as I've been a fan of Queen (Since I was 3)

LOL, ARE YOU CURSED?! Lol just kidding,
But it's sad that people are actually HAPPY that MJ died since they only see him as a child molestor instead of the genius King of Pop.....well, DECEASED King of Pop....

Sort of like the Elvis of our day?
Lol, yea I'm cursed, no if I was cursed all the members of KoRn and Duran Duran would be dead as well.
To bad he didn't know he was saying an unintentional lie when he said "I'll see you in July" Oh well.

But nah, anyways, are they going to cancel the event then?
Lucky Flame
06-26-2009, 01:06 AM
Well what else are they supposed to do?
Maybe if they get some really good dancers which MJ had already handpicked and people to sing in for him they might not, but I doubt that. And even if they did somehow I think there would be a negative response.

Y'know, this really does kinda suck. MJ was a great artist and a brilliant choreographer. Sure, he was a child molester, but that'sonly onepart of his life. Can't we all jst remember people for the good things that they've done instead of the bad? That'd lighten up the burden on a lot of people's conciounces (how the hell do you spell that?).
But, yeah, long live the king of pop.

The problem is that people give Negative equal or more points than positive
Think of it like this, which is better? Negative or Positive? Why not give the better part of it more points.
Oh, and he was POSSIBLY a child moester

Calm down, I was just stating that I hadn't heard he'd died, nothing more.
Still, this is sad news for pop. Can't claim to have ever had listened to his work in any great depth, but you can't deny the huge influence the man's had on music.
Also the news could probably chosen a better music video to play than 'Thriller'...

About the only pain here is that it overshadows Farah Fawcett's death.
It's like Princess Diana's death overshadowing Mother Teresa's. Guess which of those two I cared about more (Hint -...Like you really need a hint for this example)
Lucky Flame
06-26-2009, 06:33 AM
Well you can't really help it, MJ was more popular. And I never watched any of Farrah's movies.
kirant
06-26-2009, 06:34 AM
I meant the latter. Seriously, Mother Teresa has done tonnes more (IMO) than Diana...all Diana did was bring fashion back to royalty and make AIDs slightly less taboo.
In this case, Fawcett was trying to make an example of herself at the end of life...RIP both of them...
Kirino
06-26-2009, 06:35 AM
This is sort of how it went
Freddie Mercury's death overshadowing Eric Carr's Death (Though I can see why that happened, Freddie was amazing)
Princess Diana overshadowing Mother Theresa's Death
Michael Jackson overshadowing Farrah Fawcett's Death

kirant
06-26-2009, 06:38 AM
Yeah there is.
All major people who have done something important should die at times far apart from one another so we can grieve them individually.
Kirino
06-26-2009, 06:41 AM
Though there are some cases where the overshadowing is for the more important person. Such as when Freddie Mercury died the same day as Eric Carr. Freddie Mercury did a whole lot for the music world, him and the rest of Queen shaped rock into what it is today with their music. Sadly, he only died a little under 24 hours of him admitting that he had AIDS.
Though Mother Teresa should have gotten the attention other than Princess Diana.
kirant
06-26-2009, 06:42 AM
Again, all major people should die at times far apart from one another...like that's at all possible.

My arguement: The defense took advantage of the (unknowledged) jury (which was hard to find, as who HASN'T heard of MJ) by playing the race card as he is Black, and taking advantage of him being whtie. My blunt, racially, politically inappropriate opinion.

Hey guys have you heard? MJ isn't going to be bury'd there going to melt him down and make toys out of him, so kids can play with him for once.
When my parents told me this morning that Michael jackson was dead, I thought they were joking at first.
I can't really say that I'm sad or anything. But I used to listen to his music when I was younger, so it feels a bit weird to know that he's gone. Hmm... Let's just hope people will remember him for his music, and not as "Wacko Jacko", or whatever they called him :/
kirant
06-26-2009, 08:02 PM
There's not doubt he'll be remembered for his outstanding career more than anything. I think people will shut up about those MJ jokes and put respect (warranted or not) into his music and life.
Heck, Gary Glitter is a well known pedophile, but his career (More paticularily: Rock and Roll Pt 2) overshadows it.

Its fun! Especially doing Kyon's part! Though Yuki is my favorite dancer... but I'm a guy so I can't do that part.
Which part can't you do? Why would it matter what gender you are? Unless she does like the major splits or something.
1: Haruhi is hard.
2:Just not in public such as Anime con's where Yuki is already taken by girls cosplaying as her.
