I'm sorry to say but I really don't like Naruto, not because it's popular but I really don't like any of the characters or the style of the anime.

Sorry OT: Well the fillers are sometimes fun to watch. But it did take them over 500 chapters to kill Naraku and get rid of the Jewel for good, but the Manga finally finished last year. But the best season is season 5 with the Band of Seven, that was the best season!

I also hate Code Geass, Lelouche is a retarded character, and I couldn't even follow what was going on without looking up the synopsis on wikipedia.

I used to like Naruto purely for the concept and the world, it was enough to get around Naruto himself. But I stopped watching around episode 100 of Shippuden. Now I just read the manga, seems like it's coming to an end.

I can't stand Pokemon, other than maybe the first season, one of my sisters was watching the newest season...everything about it was laughable.

Any show keeps going for as long as Pokemon is bound to become stale. Happened to the Simpsons. I suppose Sesame Street has been going on longer, but the format of the show is easier to play around with. Also it may have happened, given that the last time I watched it I was far to young to make any sort of analysis on it.

Pretty much the same with me. I dislike Naruto more than the other two. Mostly because of the fanbase for it and they horrible way they pronounce it. Its japanese people! You have to roll the 'r' sound! I personally think Naruto will lead to the destruction of any western anime fans.

I really like death note though. The plot twists and suspense make it enjoyable, especially the mind games between Light and L.

I also enjoy SoL/Comedy.

I dunno if I should go with my obvious choice (Naruto)...or go with Gurren Lagann for being a parody that really doesn't act like a good parody at all (to the intended Super Robot fanbase, to the point where Godannar is better at it, while making the El Dora group look like a SERIOUS attempt at Super Robots), having an (IMO) unwarrented fanbase that annoys the hell out of you (by telling you it's a spiritual journey of some sort...and don't get me started on all the eye rolling Kamina comments. Naruto, well I just can't stand it! I got the patience to watch 50 episodes, but I just gave up exactly on episode 50. This starts my hatred for Shouen Jump, at the time it was okay, but it went too far after episode 50. Then I decided to give up on Naruto and went watching other stuff. ok I know it's very gothic and sorta gruesome, but the forensic and detective themed writing it has is just insane, you literally can't stop watching it if you don't really mind watching deaths and the gothic atmosphere.

Ok Naruto actually is the only main-streamish thing there, and Bleach is too, but not as much as naruto, and it's more acceptable. I'm currently watching bleach because I need inspiration for a dark-themed story I'm writting, and I LOVE Bleach's style only with over-looking it, but I never really got time to watch it so I started a couple of weeks ago. As for one piece, many people say it sucks, but it just doesn't lol, guys you gotta accept that, I'vent known anybody who has REALLY sit and watch at least 35-70 episodes and say it sucks, it's not the No. 1 sold manga in japan for no reason, you know? and you're not gonna tell me all japanese people are biased and stupid, becuase they're not, and they're the 90% of One Piece audience. I used to say what most people say "ew, the drawings are ugly, I aint watching that shit" but trust me, the writing makes it's worthy, and it's not hard to get used to that drawing style. In that episode where Ash fought against some scholars and they had stronger Pokémons than Ash' Pikachu which was level 28 at the time, Pikachu still won against the supposedly stronger Pokémon. My point is that the anime doesn't emphasise on levels. There's no way Ash just can bring two dozens of Ultra balls and capture Lugia. Lugia is much stronger than most Pokémon because of size and power, no matter what level it or the opponent have.

A level 100 Pikachu can kill a level 70 Zapdos pretty easy in the games, but in the anime, Zapdos didn't even notice Pikachu's attack. And that is actually more realistic than when the games portray a little electric mouse killing a huge electric bird.

ok I know it's very gothic and sorta gruesome, but the forensic and detective themed writing it has is just insane, you literally can't stop watching it if you don't really mind watching deaths and the gothic atmosphere.

But it's not much of a discussion, everyone just lists a bunch of animes. Personally, i feel it's unrespecful to hate on something without explaining why. The people behind it obviously put a lot of effert into it, and indeed, if it still really sucks it's completely justified to hate it, but i still think an elaborate reasoning as to why it is hated would turn it away from being merely pointless hate without reason.

This goes both ways, when people say it's the best thing ever without explaining.

Well, the point of the story is that the job of an idol ain't all sunshine and bubblegum. They work in an old cramped office building, their producer is a rookie, and the competition is full of cheaters. I think when you're talking about idealizing the industry, you're talking about the girls themselves who are your standard moe characters.

Yeah their rival was the worst for me. I found deeper characters in Saturday morning cartoons.
