Fallout: NV - Too easy once you get around level 20 or so, even on Very Hard.
MW3 - Aim assist in Multiplayer

Golden Sun: way too much dialogue, unskippable cutscenes, bad ally AI, outlandishly confusing puzzles
Cave Story: unskippable cutscenes
Metroidvania series: rare item drops

Skyrim: Fast Travel, (Gah! So tempting! So immersion breaking!)
Battlefield 3: That thing called "Single Player" so.much.wasted.development.time.

Battlefield 3: That thing called "Single Player" so.much.wasted.development.time.
Implaying the multiplayer was much anyway ....
None-the-less ....
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves: So generic story, awful characters and dialogue.
Crysis: It's on Console now.
Resident Evil 4: The PC Version! Oh God, The PC Version!
Portal 2: It's made by Valve, and is Sci-fi.
Half-Life 2: Such a departure from the first game, and retardly modelled and animated guns.
Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare: It's not WWI or WWII. Also, the other MW game's existance.

These things are so bad that they actually ruin the games to such a degree that you won't play them?

No, well, they're really not that bad, but they're the things that prevent a great game from being nearly perfect. I suppose I might've misinterpreted the thread's main purpose, but I interpreted ruin as tiny little irksome things. All of those are all really great games with those flaws though.

i hate when a great game is too easy, you finish it too quickly and are sad that the next time you play it you'll just be repeating stuff from before~

I wasn't impressed, but i guess an hour of play on a friend's Xbox aren't enough to tell.

I interpreted it as " things that makes you hate a game you otherwise would have loved were it not for those things".

Saints Row The Third: The lack of activities, a certain character being killed off, and no mission replay
Dark Souls: Certain overpowered items (most of which are fixed now, but on release they were aggravating)
Skyrim: Destruction as a whole, the generic writing, bad character design, certain unkillable npcs, loaded with bugs and glitches.
Those are just some recent games off the top of my head.
Fallout: NV - Too easy once you get around level 20 or so, even on Very Hard.
At least it was more difficult than Fallout 3's "press VATS to win"

Yeah, it sucks on consoles, but it's a joy to play IMO on a PC.
Skyrim: I just lost my freaking ebony dagger! D: D:
At least my wife will still make me a sammich....

GoldenEye 007 - Multiplayer requires too much grinding on weapon proficiencies to increase XP and skill rank (especially if you aren't very good with most shotguns or non-automatics or tend to get into match with hackers who cheat to win), which makes it difficult to unlock perks and weapons, Call of Duty carry-over of regenerating health can seem cheap on lower difficulties, but that's what the highest level is for! (Highest level restores the GE64 health system)
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - MASSIVE lag in wi-fi matches, Final Smashes are all over the place in terms of power and usefulness, Assist Trophies are even more uneven than Final Smashes and can be fucking annoying depending on what you get (damn Excitebikes)
Mario Kart Wii - Extreme saturation of last-to-first and first-to-last items cheapens game, destroys skill required in previous games, not to mention that snaking is useless now, the fuck is with all of the characters squealing like crack-addict children for every little thing they do?
Sonic Colors - Game is way too short, levels are too straightforward and forgettable, whole thing is WAY too easy, some Wisp abilities are hard to control (Frenzy, Drill, Spikes, etc.), multiplayer is a cop-out, only wi-fi functionality is with scoreboards for level-clearing

Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded : It ended way too early.
Jump Ultimate Stars : Cheats can be used on Wifi. And lag. Lots and lots of lag.

not to mention that snaking is useless now
Thank god. In high school when we played with friends, we had one friend who played seriously and snaked. For that reason, almost every race someone drove backwards and tried to blast him with a shell or a star or a Bullet Bill.
On that note...:
Mario Kart Wii - The broken tier. Bikes > Karts, bar none.
Super Smash Brothers Brawl - *Trip*
Oblivion - Non-scaling allies. Oh, hi Martin. We're on the last level. I took lots of time to grind, so let's go a--OHMYGODYOUALREADYDIED.
Fallout 3 - Taking 10% in VATS. Are you in trouble? VATS. Do you need to hit something? Also VATS. Rocket about to hit your face? VATS.
Advance Wars 2 - 3 custom maps only and max size of 30x20.
Panzer General II - That one map where USSR gets 0 cost T-34s...unlimited amounts. Somebody forgot to enter the cost.
Skyrim - No custom spell making...granted, I could see it being a pain in the arse to balance, but I don't want to be stuck with a weak DoT spell and Fire Spells that will kill me if they get too close...I want Dragon Mother****ing Slave as a long range Tactical Nuke.
Bethesda games as a whole - Character dimension of Mr. Game & Watch
Obsidian games as a whole - Buggy...very buggy on release.
Pokemon GSC - The lack of save ability if your cartridge battery dies.
Advance Wars Days of Ruin - Generic boring music
Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI - "Screw you, kirant's laptop. I'm not playing Sound Effects on you". And my AI still won't improve beyond a 10 year old's ability to play
Master of Orion II - The result if Psylons become ultra-aggressive by shear chance.
Super Smash Brothers Melee - Want to play well? Wave dash.
Fallout New Vegas - How easy the game gets if you find a Cowboy Repeater early. Bang, bang, bang, bang. You're dead. Bang, bang, bang, bang. You're dead.
Simpsons Hit and Run - The final level.

Pokemon GSC: Second half of the game is way too easy
Castlevania SoTN: Second half of the game is way too easy
Castlevania OoE: Not enough spell combos

What's snaking?
Also, I'm pretty sure they included trips on SSBB to avoid things like wave dashing.
Deus ex: HR - Some augs are extremely valuable while others are borderline useless. They could've balanced it better.
Snaking is when you power slide on a straight path over and over, and Mario Kart DS is not the only racing game where you can do that. I'm a snaker.

Snaking is starting a drift and mashing left-right until you get a boost and firing it in a straight path. You effectively power boost from the left side of the track to the right side (snaking).
Wavedashing was an abuse of physics. That would have been a simple fix.
Cannon Fodder - Making me attached to the original soldiers you get :/

Me too. And when you hate a game, you wouldn't play it. I can't understand how people here would stop playing these great games just because of these small flaws they mention.

Who the hell plays with items on? That would make a match all about luck.

No they included multiple dodging without "flinching" to remove the wave dashing. I didn't have any problem with wave dashing as I thought it made the game more interesting. Took a long time to learn it you know.

Sonic 4 (XBL arcade game) - "We're making a game in which you have to dodge obstacles at extremely high speeds, how far from the player should we put the camera?"
"Seeing ten feet ahead of yourself is more than enough!"
...such a stupid issue, yet the game is unplayable because of it.

I can think of a few games where the camera severely marred my enjoyment.
...Now that I say that, I can't actually name any off the top of my head.
So I guess I can't think of any games where the camera severely marred my enjoyment.

Ahh. I interpreted as things that bring games from a 10.0 out of 10 to a 9.9 or something. Tiny flaws that stop them from a 10 or something.

Super Mario Land (GB) - Slightly oddball physics and floaty controls make precise movement nearly impossible. Still a good game, but hard to work with.
Sonic Advance 2 (GBA) - Why are the emblems so damn hard to find?!!
Mega Man III, IV, V (GB) - Slowdown. So. Much. Slowdown!!
Sonic Colors (Wii) - Running, running, running, running, OH SHIT SPIKES DODGE DAMMIT NO COME BACK RINGS AAAAAAHHHH!!! Also, quick-step mode WTF?!
LEGO games - What's the difference between LEGO Batman, LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Indiana Jones aside from the license used? Exactly.

Come on! It's the exact same physics and controls like the original Super Mario Bros on the NES! That is why I loved Super Mario Land actually, since it is a spiritual follow-up to SMB. One of the greatest Mario games out there.
6 Golden Coins on the other hand....

Are we talking about the exact same Super Mario Land here? The jumping was too slow and the landing was too fast in the version I played. Six Golden Coins had much more controlled and balanced physics in my opinion.

Well obviously you must hold B in order to jump properly, and if you jump down you won't fall that fast, you will only do that if you walk into pits or falls. It's a great representation of the most popular platform game ever made.

Team Fortress 2, the scouts existence.
What's wrong with the Scout? If any of the classes take away from the game's enjoyability, it's the pyro. That class takes so much SKILL!
