This is the topic where you can recommend to anybody any sort of Western-developed animation that you like. It can be from any era, of any Western country. As long as you like it. Detailed reasons for why you like a product and conversations about the quality of a product are greatly encouraged.

My first recommendation is the Superman shorts from Paramount Pictures.

Created in the 1940s as a joint venture between DC Comics (then known as Action Comics) and Paramount, this collection of 17 short subjects are considered by many, including myself, to be some of the greatest animation ever put to film. Created for a whopping total of $50,000 for each 8-minute short (the most expensive short prior to that time was from Disney Studios, at only $25,000), these shorts are, adjusted for inflation, the most expensive theatrical shorts ever made, and boy does it show. These shorts contain fluid, realistic, heavily-detailed animation, filled with action, suspense and, most importantly, a whole lot of fun. These shorts are so famous, they have actually influenced the Superman comics they were based on; Superman's flight abilities, for instance, were introduced here. In the original Action Comics serials, Superman had the ability of super-jumping. However, when Maxwell and David Fleischer, the creators of these shorts, tried to animate the super-jumping, they realized that they couldn't pull it off without the final result looking jerky, stupid and ridiculous, so they granted him flight instead. This ability became so Iconic of the character that DC Comics folded the ability back into the comics, and the rest is history. These are amazing shorts, and I highly suggest taking a look at them. All 17 cartoons are in the public domain and can be found on YouTube and Netflix.
