What do you want in the game? Personaly I want the following.

~Better Graphics-Halo 3 was a let down, as a hard-core Halo fan its hard to admit, but Halo 3 was more of the same, the texture work was embarrasing at times. In Reach I expect alot more from Bungie, I want the same sense of Awe at the graphics that Halo 1 brought me.

~Better Physics- In Reach I want more then just "You shoot a guy
and his body falls down, and if he is high up they flail their arms." I want Vehicals skiding, glass shattering, bodies registering impact, bullets acting realisticly, rockets to scream across the map, Exsplosions throwing shrapnel and bodies high into the air, All those things should happen fluidly, and Realisticly, No more "Your guy flails his arms the same way every time he falls." I want the body of the man you just hit to slam into your windsheild and not go through the Warthog but treat it as an object, so the next time you hit something with your 'hog you should feel the impact and react to it.

I agree completely with everything. What really drove me crazy in halo 3 was the way the armor "locked up" after being hit with a vehicle, sword, or hammer. WTF was that all about?! A lame excuse to not put half-decent physics into the game?!

Still, none of these changes would save halo for me, i hate it too much ^- ^

I agree, Halo 3's campaign was a down-right mess! The only good Halo campaign was Halo 1, were the plot was actualy thought out and delivered in a effective manner.

I really hope Halo: Reach to be a major (and when I mean major, oh hell, do I mean major!) improvement from the slightly disappointing Halo 3. Halo 1 at its time was a classic and made me want to play some of the campaign missions again and again and again! Halo 3? Campaign done, and Campaign forgotten. After that, Halo 3 is of absolutely no use whatsoever if you do not get XBL. But, when you do get XBL, you're either gonna hate it, or you're going love every bit of it. Well, at least in my dreary eyes.

Halo 3 was amazing IMO. The campaign was well made, even though it was too short and can't compete with the other games.

I hope they don't mess up my Assassinations! This "hold B to auto-assassinate while I switch to 3rd person camera for you" thing sounds stupid. I love just hitting someone in the back for an insta kill, even though it doesn't make that much sense.

EDIT: Well, the assassinations are pretty cool, but I hope we can still just tap B.

^ I actually have never seen anyone spam grenades. You can kill someone pretty fast with just about any weapon. And you're also not limited to just shooting them, the best way to go is to combine actions.

It's just the Halo gameplay style though; Spartans have regenerating armor and so it takes a while for them to die. CoD's "die in a few shots" thing is fun too though, I played CoD for the first time when MW2 came out and I loved it.

No, I don't play MW2. I play CoD4. But I would rather have instant kill bullets then have to unload a clip and a half on my enemy, then beat them down to kill them.

They're very different, but you can essentially get the CoD feel on Halo by turning off shields. :D

the xbox live is only $50 for a year. so for pennies a day of, news, updates, last.fm, party chat and gaming with friends online. its really just a small price to pay even if it wont be free permanently free.

2. Unknown it came from a small scheduling leak from E3 and was taken down shortly after, all it said was Free-live and was in the microsoft slot

I played a few matches earlier and was pretty pleased. One thing I noticed is that the run speed seems to have increased since past Halo games. Loved Halo 1 and 2, 3 was decent, then odst killed the series. But Im thoroughly interested about HALO reach.

I tried the beta and I just loved it until I played it so much that it got boring because of it only giving you a few things to do but hey it was only the beta so what do you expect.

What are some of the new features that your exited about?

I myself can't wait for the new forge and forge world but there are more then that but those are the top 2 that I'm wanting to try out the most and can't wait for the most especially since the forge in Halo 3 is/was such a pain to use and do.

Played Halo CE but I got to the end and couldn't beat it and then I sold it and I regretted it ever since and Halo 3 I loved it but the story was a let down and I only played it for the achievement's because of how much of a let down it was

I don't think the gameplay in Halo is all that great, but I'm definitely getting this game because Bungie puts more awesome features into their games than any other company. I wish every game had file share and forge, and the possibilities for custom game rules are extensive. Halo is a game you can play for years and not get bored just because there's so much to do.

Decent? I think someone has their bias glasses on. I'm not saying they have to say it was amazing but to say it's a bad game is wrong. There is a reason it lasted so long. Because it was good. And a Super Jump isn't fucking obvious I mean, you are just flying in the air in the open where you can easily get sniped. Oh wait...
All games have glitches. 2 measly glitches like that don't make a game bad.
And did you see his reasons? Because a BXR glitch that anyone could do and the AR not being in it. Those are no where near valid reasons.

Biggest and longest lasting XBL game that had great maps, hence, their remakes. The graphics were a major update and the campaign was enjoyable.

No where in that small paragraph did he say it was a bad game. He just felt it was the worse out of the halo series.

It's like as if I said Half-Life 2: Episode one was the worse in the series. Do i feel as if it good have done better? Yes. Does that make it a bad game? Not at all.

Lastly, he has the right to say it's a bad game as his opinion and not have a valid reason. Humans have certain feelings towards some media, and they just can't help it.

I thought he said it was bad in general so I'll take that as my mistake. But also note that one thing you said was that I was being nostalgia towards Halo 2, but that could easily be said to him as well. And I just don't like the fact that one weapon and one glitch changes how he thinks of a game. The Brute Shot isn't in Reach so if he loves the Brute Shot, he probably won't like Reach, which, IMO, is pretty unfair.

Campaign - Halo 1 is still my favorite. long and fun. this one is second on my list

Multi-player - LOVE IT!! best one ever ^^

Fire Fight - at first i didnt think to much of it but im really like it for the challenges and credits.

Forge - too big. i like the size and what you can do but its overwhelming and the limit of grids (barriers) to 2 is lacking and needs to be more like 10 max.

over all, its my favorite halo game
