I can't believe we didn't have a thread for this already.

I got bored of single player a long time ago, but just recently I started playing on an awesome server with some friends from another forum, so I got back into it.

When I first started playing MC, I was amazed at how much you could do, and this was back in early Alpha.

I never much liked exploring massive cave systems, and stayed above ground as much as I possibly could to, of course, build large fortresses and walls. Eventually though, with such a ridiculously impenetrable fortress, the game felt to safe because nothing could get at me, and I proceeded to start a new world.

This is when I really got into many tiny houses, and started on a few megaprojects. My favorite house was a little wood house on a tiny floating island only accessible via a water elevator, from my base there, I constructed a large 'cathedral,' and dug in a 20 x 20 square to bedrock.

Minecraft surely is one of the better games out there, though I haven't played recently.

I was always more of a builder, and spending a lot of time underground got annoying- I've mostly just used huge strip mines for resources, with the occasional bedrock level tunnel that stretches on and on.

Yeah, yeah, I know. I even had a 2 or 3 month streak of playing on peaceful, which in all honesty was mainly so I could work longer on my buildings. I've started foraying back into hard mode, which I think we can agree on, is not hard at all- the Nether being the exception. It is hell down there, and that's no mistake.


I'd have to say though, one of the biggest nuisances I've experienced in-game, was an undesired after effect of planting tons of trees on my mansion's island. Creepers jumping down- not fun.

Edit: I really need to play multiplayer seriously, which I can't believe I haven't done yet.

I love Minecraft!
I play singleplayer but somehow end up deleting my worlds.
I also play/mod on an SMP server with thatrandomguyyouknow!
I'm trying to make a gigantic album cover right now,(Deavid Soul/Sparkling Music), I've made a gigantic sheep, and a bunch of other nonsense...

Anyone who says they hate this game hasn't played on a good multiplayer server with all their friends. Single Player gets boring because you're only building for yourself, but when you log on and there's a whole new part of your city that someone else built, it's just awesome.

Minecraft is quite fun, but I don't play it. I usually just watch my friends play it and whatnot. I don't have the patience to build all that crap with blocks.

it does get boring,
but 1.7 is almost out, then i wil ones again play for like 2 days XD
(and mods/maps can keep me in MC a while)

Yes, even on a Multi-player server it can still become boring after a while. If you actually manage to find a well working one with the right plugins and mods to make the game a little different, then it will be harder to lose interest.

I currently act as a Moderator on a server and the admins have organised a series of classes to make it more "Role-play" and it makes it so picking a class changes the overall Game experience for them.

I LOVE it, it happens to be one of my favorite games out at the moment. On Singleplayer I always build my first house into a little cave, and build a palisade around it. I love watching it transform into a massive fortress, that spans miles and miles underground, with massive towers built into mountains and cities built into caverns xD
I can't find a good MP server though! D: We should start an LSS one! :D
