A brief list:
- Shinn Azuka...I hate the entire SEED Destiny show, but Shinn gets focused on for hate as his character seems to be nothing but an angsting berserker
- (Goes off to list entire Minerva crew)
- "Neo Roanoke". Mu died in Ep. 50
- Light Yagami. I hated him much earlier than most. Namely the seemingly cruel manner he had against Naomi Misori.
- Kira "Jesus" Yamato. See nickname. See personality. See hate.
- Lacus Clyne. Feels WAY too much like a canon Mary Sue.
- Amazing, NOT Fllay Alstar.
- Maeur Von Bradstein. Nothing special. That is all.
- [Insert Naruto Character Here]. Nothing needs to be said
- Goku. He never seems to do any wrong.
- [Any Dragonball Z/GT/whatever sequels exist character that didn't appear in the original]
- Wendy Garret. Feels way too much like a tag-along kid.
- For the same reason as above, Kyon's Sister
- Basically the entire main crew of Inuyasha, save maybe Kirara...or Sango. Pick one. They're all basically terrible stereotypes played out...and are thusly fairly boring to watch
- (Lists entire Yu-Gi-Oh! charaters and its sequel's characters)

Part of the appeal is the fact that she's an unstoppable force when interested in stuff. I'll be the first one to admit: I like my characters with a little "fire in the belly". Haruhi fits that and her Genki girl side perfectly.

It's simple really. No two opinions of a character are ever the same. You could dislike a character, and another could like her. Like Haruhi, her bossy nature for example, you hate it, where as other people like it. It's a simple as that.

No, it's not, only a dumbass after reading what u just wrote would think so, but precisely im finding out your fierce reasons for following such a character, and your arguments are good enough, but still, before i just couldn't stand ppl just following her with their blindness, eventually i would find a good enough fan to tell me a veridical reasons for loving Haruhi. What you just said was hardcore, but , tell me im lying, is it really worth having such groundbreaking devotion knowing all she has done and the way she behaves towards people in general? well, being energetic or not , and knowing she is just a fictional character, just imagine her in real life having done what she has done, fuck, i don't know, but that's good enough for hating her. and in your signature you clearly make effective use of her hotness, and you do not depict any Genki clues justifying your reason to follow her, so what did you expect i would argue just by watching your signature? Dullness is a fine reason to hate a character. Why are they using up the other characters oxygen if they're not gonna do something interesting? If we actually saw her crazy side, instead of just hearing rumors about it, she would be fine.

Oh, no. I feel like I'm going to get killed for this one... But I just didn't like her overly tsuntsun attitude all the time. She was pretty much /aggressive/ about everything and I just didn't like how she didn't really fit into the show, other than her own OVA arc.

-- Hinagiku Katsura (Hayate no Gotoku/Second Season)
May I also be killed for this one. But personally, I like her more than Kyou, but pretty much for the same reasons. I mean, the only difference between her and the other people in the Hayate-harem is that she's higher-ranked than everyone, being student council.

-- Ayumu Nishizawa (Hayate no Gotoku/Second Season)
Okay, sure, Hayate and Ayumu were childhood friends. She still has feelings for him. But she's not getting anywhere by always trying to get near him without doing anything about it. I dislike her more than Kyou Fujibayashi, and more than Hinagiku. ;-;

She whines a lot, and basically the story revolves around her, but that's not significant until the last few episodes, really. I don't find her and Yuuichi to be a very good couple, especially when it was a couple that barely developed any...

That's completely understandable. The reason people do like her is because she is by large and by fair, tragically, THE most realistic character in the show.
