I was messing around with my friends the other day, drawing pokemon silhouettes and trying to guess which they were, just like in the "who's that pokemon" segments from when we were kids. I decided to make it a forum game. Just use MS paint and photobucket, i'll start:

Lapras. You forgot to rename the picture. (Name is wtplapras...which means water type pokemon Lapras...). That was my first guess anyways.

When I was little, I was a big pokemon fan (Yup).
And I used to know all the pokemon.
But I stopped watching it.
New pokemon.
I'm like wtf? D:

Now I only know basics like Pikachu, Squirtle and Charizard. DX

i used to be the biggest pokemon fan evr...

Edit - It's not a ball by nature. It's also an obscure reference to an early episode in the anime.

I'm so proud of myself I knew who it was just from your first clue, pitty I didn't have time to dive in and say. The reason I know is because on the theme song it shows a sandshrew uncurling from a ball. :P
