The concept: Play through Super Mario Bros. with Mega Man, Simon Belmont from Castlevania, Bill from Contra, Samus Aran from Metroid, Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden, Link from The Legend of Zelda, Sophia III from Blaster Master and, of course, Mario himself.

The execution: Hoooooooooooly shit.

This is an updated version with exclusives that the Newgrounds edition lacks. It's by far the superior experience.

at first I thought that this was a thread on mushroom kingdom fusion. Lol. I'm wrong apparently. I remember playing the old version on newgrounds and I couldn't even beat it. Even with the warp pipes, I could never beat bowser. Even with that contra dude or Samus. OTL

The concept does look cool, but it just doesn't work in practice. For instance, there are certain segments where you can't progress if you're using a certain character. Try playing with Simon: he jumps too low to cross some of the gaps or pipes.

The mushroom is useless on extreme difficulty.

It just sucks it's only playable trough flash.. that guy should port it
