Believe in a faith, many do. Others no affiliation they have. Respect other people's faith you will, theists and atheists alike!
My ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is.Old thread was supposed to have a short poll, but something went wrong.Old thread:
indeed, a powerful ally it is~
I don't believe in any religion in particular~
I respect other peoples beliefs though, cos anything could be right :3
Or maybe every religion is correct for the person who believes in it.
For example, when a christian dies they will go to heaven or hell. But when a hindu dies they will be reincarnated.
I like to think it's like that :DChristian, Protestant,

You maybe should have agnostic and atheistic as options seperately there. Not that they per se are religions, but it'd make the options clearer.

Atheist an agnostic is, for subscription to faith there is none.

EDIT: That's debatable, however. You could technically be atheist (if you define it as a lack of belief in a god) and still have faith; Buddhism, for example.

Is this thread fire-retardant?
Does that even make sense?

On topic, I have my own personal views about the nature of the universe and the afterlife and stuff like that, but overall I'm mostly secular.

I got no problem with religion and I respect people's belief's so long as you don't force them on me or other people.

i picked Norse cause i see religion on a moral stand point so in this cause
have fun now and pay for the price late. live life to the fullest and be happy and dont worry about whats waiting for you in the after.
i wouldnt mind being christian if it wasnt abused as much as it is. simply saying if you do good things and respect one another everything would go way smoother. i do these things and ive been rewarded for it. but everyone else takes it to a whole new level and its just wrong. i respect any ones choice in believes, its your freedom in doing so...expect scientology that shit is just laughable XD

If there's one thing that plagues the internet, it's the non-tolerant Atheists v.s. the non-tolerant Christians.
It becomes quite annoying seeing endless debates everywhere about which side has more 'proof' of the existence or lack thereof of God.

Anyways, I'm Christian. Presbyterian for those who want to know. While there are some fellow Christians who can barely comprehend that others believe something else, I myself have numerous friends of varying faiths that I have no problem talking to whatsoever. It's also interesting to hear what they have to say about their own religion and mine.

I just wish people could become more tolerant.

It's always a kicker when a gnostic Atheist tells me (an agnostic theist) to be more open minded.

Baptised as Catholic, but I was too young to tell them not to~.

I don't really believe in any deity of any sort, because I tend to only believe in what is proven. However, this means that I cannot simply accept that there is no God whatsoever, since that hasn't been proven either. Of course, I have no problem with anyone's religion, because those using it as a reason to harm others are the ones to blame. There's also the possibility that none of this is happening and I'm in some mental institute, rocking in the corner of a room, just making all this up.

Who knows exactly what's real, anyway?

I was also baptized into christianity at birth. And, in fact, I went to a strict catholic grade school for 9 years.

A few years after I graduated, I was finally able to think for myself. I myself am now athiest. Not because there is or isn't a lack of proof, but because I don't enjoy the idea of believing in a diety with so many contradictions to their own existence. I've explored many religions, but I really couldn't bring myself to believe any of them.

Luckily, I'm completely respectful and tolerant in others' beliefs with the simple knowlege that their religion makes them happy. It gives them a feeling of security, safety, and serenity, and nobody really has any right to take that away for any reason. Not to mention that we can't know for certain if there are or aren't any dieties in the universe, so it's always good to respect beliefs.
