but bipolar is when you have unexpected/uncontrollable mood swings. Read the novels or watch bamboo leaf rhapsody for good proof, in BLR, she's all cheerful and happy and 10 seconds later, she's in a melancholic state...

Normal people don't switch moods that fat, or even when in the novels they go to the snowy mountain, (I think, haven't read in a while) she's really tired and sort of lost after they get in the blizzard and they enter the wierd mansion. But she suddenly regains her energy and she's off running around again... Ok mybe that wasn't a great example but BLR is a good example

Changes of emotions because of events like that can easily occur. I mean, if you've ever had a suddent recall of a major event from the past that recalls emotions not consistant with your current mode. I know that may be a complicated sentence, so I'll provide an example:
- It's your [theoretical] birthday. Let's say on your 5th birthday, you were terrified by a clown (This is not a rare event. Many children are afraid of clowns). You could easily be having a great 18th birthday and have your mood suddenly change if something recalls that event.

That event can be summarized in the following statement: The day had Haruhi recall the events of 3 years past, an event that recalls somber emotions.

Haruhi has the type of person (Who actually do exist. I have one for a brother) who doesn't seem keen on anything that doesn't interest her. In addition, that event may have been a reference to Cabin Fever (The inability to stay energized when left with limited things to do).

Well, there are the following points:
- Koizumi to Kyon in Snow Mountain Syndrome: "You appeared in my room as well. The appearance might have been you, but the behaviour was just terrifying... anyways, you did things that you wouldn't do." Just add 2 + 2.
- The fact he gets so close to Kyon while talking. You know, the stuff that bugs Kyon when he isn't looking, then turns around and seems Koizumi ~1 foot from him
- His claim of acting this way so Haruhi doesn't alter reality to actually change his sexuality doesn't add up. He acts oddly with Kyon when Haruhi ISN'T paying attention to him. If his excuse was valid, he'd be acting funny with Kyon WHEN Haruhi is paying attention.

Excel (Excel Saga): She's hawt, and she's weird... I like weirdness 8D
Iwasaki Minami: Her hair is short and green, just like how I want mine to look like, she's quiet and a bookworm, just like me, and she's skinny just like me ~nyaa-nyaa.
Ichinose Kotomi: Again, she's soft-spoken (in real life, at least) and a bookworm, just like me, and FOR ONCE, A GENIUS CHARACTER THAT DOESN'T WEAR GLASSES ~NYAA-NYAA!!!!! ^_^

Kyon from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: He's the only straight man in a club fulla freaks, and I can relate with him in a sense. (I'm the only man in a house of hyperactive women) I also love how he argues against Haruhi every step of the way in his mind, and I can again relate when (novels only) he expresses large amounts of inner squee whenever Mikuru does something cute or is dressed in a new outfit. Konata Izumi from Lucky Star: SHE IS ME IN A FEMALE BODY. You make the connection.

Adult Simon from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: He's awesome as hell without hamming it up to stupidity and he, by far, had the best character development in the series (which sucks in the fact that I'd've killed to see more development for Kittan or Yoko)

Horo from Spice and Wolf: Outrageously attractive, hilariously bipolar, extremely cute at times, all while acting formal like the goddess she is. Yup, we have a winner.

Nagisa Furukawa from Clannad/Clannad: After Story: By far the most integral character to the plot. She also had a strong will despite her weak stature, and... well... After Story episode 16. That's all I'll say.
