Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker and Rising

Anyone else a fan of the Metal Gear series? I myself am a big fan, and so far I'm more excited for Peace Walker than Rising.

I grew up with MGS. Even as a 360 gamer I like MGS still after all this time.
I wont be getting peace walker even though I have a psp.
but MGS rising I will get.

damn, ive been with metal gear as soon as it came out (still got the good ol GB games) and now THIS?

it almost feels like kojima stabbed me in the back when i wasnt looking T.T

but if mgs peace walker is as good as they say... well i guess i can forgive them (and there seems to be a co-op mode with FOUR snakes in the game :O)

Dark Wolf, are you good at MGO2? And I doubt they'll make MGO3 quite yet, they'll continue with MGO2, unless there is an online mode for MGS: PW

I use different weapons depending on the map, on maps like WW or RR I'll just use ARs, but on maps like BB and maybe CC I'll use SMGs.

Anyways, on the topic, I'm not sure how Rising will have a story or where it will fit in, but I'm a bigger Big Boss fan.

I never really played the MGS series when I was a kid because I wasn't allowed to get rated M games but at least I can get them now! :) It's good that they're making an MGS for the Xbox 360, I just hope Konami doesn't tone things down because of it's limitations.

Well the reason MGS4 couldn't make it to the 360 was because of the octocamo which is what the PS3's cell processor was for. Also somehow I think Rising will be shorter.

they better make up for any shortages on campaign with online cuz i mainly get MGS for its story, its such a great story

No Octocamo could have made it in you would just have to install MGS to your hard drive.

There were a lot of reasons explaining why it didn't come to 360, one being that the game took up about 46 gigs while the discs for the 360 can only hold up to about 9 gigs.

I just hope Rising won't be TOO short.

simple solution multi disk (I've seen 5 discs before), but have the option to install all of them on your hard drive and never have to switch disks.

That would make sense. But couldn't you rent it then just instal the game to your HDD?

nope there would be a disc block like there are for normal games (It plays from your HDD but it constantly makes sure the disc is still in there).

Because the entire game doesn't install onto your PS3, only certain parts of it.

Also, 5 discs for MGS4 on 360 would be a pain.

Well, it would be kinda weird buying a big box with 5 disks in it while the PS3 version has a slim box with 1 disk.

Yea but it's always the same. It costs too much or the online sucks or something like that.

I'm really hoping for a Peace Walker online mode, they better make it less glitchy than PO and PO+ online.

oh god... mpo+ was a fail cuz of hackers (like me :P)

the game play was pretty damn good but people who hacked in RC or TDM ruined the fun (i only hacked in CR)

It would be a waste of money if you already have a working Xbox and live because yes (don't mean to offend) the service is better, and more dlc comes your way + larger community. To even the playing field on excuses of why someone shoudn't get a 360 the difference between the 360 and ps3 on 1080p is incredibly small (and neither will ever beat PC graphics anyway).
