According to SankakuComplex, Aya Hirano may be changing career focus. She recently changed managers: her previous manager was a seiyuu specialist; her new manager is a specialist in variety TV programs. “It looks as though from now on she’ll be mainly a talent.” (quote from SankakuComplex article)

Awwwwww I wanna hear her as a seiyu. That's how I was introduced to her as. The prospect of a new Haruhi and Lucky Star keep becoming more unlikely. :( She did just take a break from the public eye, so maybe this arose from that.
