I know you were being sarcastic, but there IS a live-action Death Note movie, so that actually seems somewhat likely ~nyaa-nyaa. O3O

I think, at this point, George is the only reason to watch it.

23 year old Timmy in 5th grade?

I hope you don't mean the movie.

And before you answer, I'll probably drop this thread in terms of following it, considering I don't want anything to activate one of my berserk buttons. The Fairly-Odd Parents works only as a wacky, animated cartoon, and it will not work in live-action with ANYTHING they do with it! If an anime needs to be made into a movie, it should be done by the Japanese- Hollywood always seems to **** it up, for some reason. I feel like I can suggest any God-awful, stupid idea to Hollywood and they would seriously think it could work! Seriously!

I still hold hope for the Cowboy Bebop film. And The Last Airbender isn't that bad Ither; If your a true Avatar fan you will like it. The Blood the Last Vampire film wasn't that Bad. Japanese Death Note films were good.

But then you look at BDE, Speed Racer, Japanese film Inital D (I just dont like Inital D, Anime/Manga/Live action. Sue me) . And you see how bad they can turn out.

But if Comic's can be turned into epic films %90 of the time. So can Manga/Anime

Sounds like it will end up like The Diary of a Wimpy Kid Movie and Avatar(The last airbender). And by that I mean it will get really hyped up, but when people see it, no one will care.

You mean like The Sorcerer's Apprentice?

Oh wait. That was never hyped up to begin with. :P

I know I said I wouldn't follow this thread. I'm a hypocrite.

Some anime might have a chance but only ones with action and a lot of it. they always find a way to mess something up, if not all of it

Avatar:TLA still messed things up. miss pronouncing avatar and sokka for example

and being a true fan. you would have to watch it but you dont necessarily have to like it

"I think fans of the series will love seeing the characters in this new way," creator and executive producer Butch Hartman said. "Our mix of live-action and special effects animation will make them look 'hyper-real' and our goal is to make this movie as visually exciting as it will be funny."

Is the whole movie going to be flashing images of the characters committing suicide and children screaming?

Well, I honestly didn't grew up with Fairly Odd Parents, because I stopped watching Nickoloden back in 1999, and it didn't air back then. This might be worse than Dragonball Evolution. I admit that I liked Speed Racer. Anyways, I hope Nickoloden doesn't do the same to Rocko's Modren Life and Ren and Stimpy.

Well Nathangomad and Aiagas should look at this short clip from the show, and you will automatically see why it will fail in live-action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2S_N9aRLJOE .

Think of every bad idea that you hate, and that is what movies and shows will be like now. If you get used to that, you'll be fine.

Or jaded.

I have the films plot:

"The kids channel has greenlighted a live-action/computer-animated adaptation of its hit toon "The Fairly Odd Parents," starring Drake Bell ("Drake and Josh") as a twenty something Timmy Turner who's still in the fifth grade because "Da Rules" dictate that godchildren lose their fairies when they grow up.
Set to premiere next year, "A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner!" also stars Daniella Monet as Tootie, Jason Alexander as Cosmo, Cheryl Hines as Wanda and Steven Weber as Hugh J. Magnate."

God just kill me right now.

Now we all know why Jason Alexander signed up for the role, so he could have a full head of hair.

Does anyone else think he looks like a rejected Oompa Loompa?
