Little things that are annoying, but usually necessary in order to keep the show's length down. Or just general annoying cliches.

These are all most apparent in sitcoms.

-Picking up the phone, dialing a number and instantly being connected with the other person
-The other person then hangs up, and a dial tone plays...

-When a character shows other characters something on TV, they turn off the TV when it's over.

-Doors are never locked when the characters get home, and they don't care one bit.

-At least one character will be shocked while they're teaching another character something because they realized they are "turning into their father."

-When talking on a phone, you can say "Meet me down at the Reagle Beagle in an hour. I found a way to get the rent money! Just don't let Mr. Roper know you're leaving or he might catch on. Oh, and could you take my cake out of the oven? It should be ready by now. Oh, sorry, but one last thing. If Larry comes over, give him the twenty dollars I'm keeping under the lamp in your room and tell him I told him so." in three seconds.

In most cartoons and anime, people type like crazy on computers. It ticks me off because I had to learn and practice to be a fast typer.

How apparantly whispering quietly IN FRONT OF THE PERSON makes them not hear a thing you say.

especially in an anime dub, their voices and mouths are desynched

When the events of the last episode are totally ignored. (Sometimes, depends on the show.)

On either, it makes no sense as to why person A doesn't wonder why person B and C are whispering about him in front of him.

When the History AND Discovery channel both have nothing good on, I mean those are really the only two channels I watch when I watch TV.

(Not really TV show I know.)

Seconded.

- When people in school buy food, and it looks amazing, which is so not school food. D=<

- When a person gets in trouble for something they didn't do, and the bad person doesn't, and it HAPPENS OVER AND OVER.

- CLIFFHANGERS.

-When we can hear the MP3 players the characters are listening even though if they were actually loud enough so that we could, the characters would be deaf.

Yup, I was really pissed off when Reboot ended in a cliffhanger, but apparently they are finishing it.

The dolly zoom.

For those who have no clue what that is, the camera begins from far away, zoomed in on an actor onscreen. The camera technician then runs forward, zooming out on the actor as he runs. This gives the illusion that the actor is staying idle while the background is moving.

I hate it because it gives me a seriously bad case of vertigo.

I actually like that, if only in anime.

When the same show is aired more than once a day. (Dammit CSI.)

Anime is fine. Live action is when it gives me vertigo, due to realistic depth.

These are just ways to let the audience know what the characters are whispering/listening to. When whatever the characters whisper/listen to is important for us to know, then I think that this is a clever thing to do ~nyaa-nyaa.

Sometimes, sitcoms are filmed in front of a live audience, so this can't be helped ~nyaa-nyaa.

But, other times, when editing a sitcom, they'll take a pre-recorded track of an audience laughing and insert parts of it into the sitcom. This is done mainly to capture the "feel" of traditional sitcoms, but they'll often place the laughing in places where it isn't funny ~nyaa-nyaa. >_<

They did that a lot in Out of Jimmy's Head. It made the show even more boring.

^It can be funny when you play it backwards though ~nyaa-nyaa. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0BgVD6HIGA)

And another thing I don't like is when they do a complete retool on a show that was perfectly fine the way it was before.

It only doesn't work when it sucks serious balls.
