Wasn't sure whether to post a new thread on this or not, but oh well.

Since I'm doing filmmaking as a career, I've started a screenplay for my first major production outside of a Youtube video.

Title: Heroes are Overrated
Format: Live-Action
Genre: Comedy
Released: When I finish it
Film length: Long form short film (20-40 minutes)
Series length: One film

Matt Doyer, a high school geek, finds that his uncle "mentor geek" (the one who brought him and his friends into "geekhood") has been kidnapped. This is followed by hundreds of geeks all over the world getting kidnapped, but it's not getting any press coverage because it only concerns geeks and not the general public. Matt and his fellow otaku friends then set off to stop whoever's behind all this once and for all.

Current progress: http://www.mediafire.com/?tgymmnhmzmg

Contains references to: DBZ, Internet memes (Rickroll, Za Warudo, The Game, etc.), Haruhi (SOS Brigade: California Chapter), Lucky Star, World of Warcraft, D&D ("Your party's Strength is divided by zero, the world explodes, and you die. Campaign over!"), Code Geass, etc. Also, the "Over 9000 geeky references" thing is a plot device. Seriously.
