View Full Version : Why did i put this off for so long?!

I'v heard lots of praise for TMoHS, but it always looked pretty mediocre to me, so I put it behind black lagoon and strawberry panic on my "to watch" list. To tell the truth, the only reason i even decided to watch it at all was because it was so referenced. I just started watching it today(im on episode 4) and i'm so disappointed that i didn't make it my top priority! This show is nothing short of epic! The first episode alone, which had nothing to do with the story, probably made me laugh almost as many times, if not more, than every episode of lucky star put together!

Hmmm, i may have spoke too soon. The first episodes were great when it was just a SOL, but when they introduced all the magic and crap it became kind of farfetched...

She's god? C'mon thats retarded. It was hilaroius when she was just an esentric girl who got into wacky shinanigans.

The series never was classified as a Slice of Life show. It's "technically" a Sci-Fi show. That being said, it slides between Slice of Life, Comedy, and Sci-Fi whenever it feels.

Magic and all that exists in detail for 2-3 episodes, then it goes back to just being Comedy/Slice of Life.

I like the whole show. I love SHnY, but I wouldn't say it's one of my top 10. I've seen waaaay to many awesome anime lol. I need to go back and finish Nagasarete Airantou. It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo funny. If anyone is looking for a good slice of life/comedy, then watch Nagasarete Airantou!!!!!

actully, i liked the sci-fi bits a tad bit better then slice-of life- bits.it made the last episode that much more awesome,really,i really cried at the sight of that.
